Welcome To The Sacred Swaddling /Closing Of The Bones /La Cerrada Ceremony.

Our ceremony is rooted in various cultures and traditions, passed down through generations, and is now finding new life and relevance in different parts of the world.

At Sacred Swaddling, we invite you to experience the profound beauty and wisdom of this ceremonial practice.

Although the term "swaddling" may initially evoke images of wrapping babies, our ceremony goes beyond that.

It is a transformative journey for women, a rebirth and transition from one phase of life to another, encompassing various aspects of womanhood and healing.

The inspiration for this practice comes from my personal encounter with the Sacred Swaddling Ceremony in Mexico.

Witnessing a Menarche ceremony – celebrating the transition of young girls into womanhood – deeply touched me

and forever changed my perception of femininity and the healing process.

It was during this ceremony that I first experienced the power and magic of swaddling with Rebozo scarves.

Swaddling an adult involves the wrapping of a woman's body over seven points with a special Mexican soft scarves called rebozos.

The ceremony incorporates herbs, essential oils, cocoa ceremonies, special massage techniques using the rebozo scarf, and immersion in water.

It is a practice of transition, acknowledging life-altering events, closing the "holes" where coldness and drafts seep in, and restoring inner resources and strength.

Swaddling has a rich history in various cultures.

In Slavic tradition, it is used for postnatal swaddling of women in labor, symbolizing the closure of gates and the restoration of balance after childbirth.

It was also performed for male warriors, allowing them to calm down, readjust, and transition back to peaceful life after the intensity of war.

Similarly, Native American traditions include swaddling as a rebirth from spiritual "death," helping to overcome grief,

reclaim lost soul pieces, to doctor, to nourish, to rejuvenate your physical forms to reclaim new body.

This sacred practice has also been used by women known as "death doulas” to support the ceremony of returning

to life after losing a loved one or experiencing disconnection from life.

Sacred Swaddling is a profound spiritual practice aimed at transformation, rebirth and the opening of new doors.

It is a ceremonial journey dedicated to deep healing, with several hours of stages and practices, creating a sacred space for the soul's evolution.

Swaddling can be performed for various purposes, such as after childbirth, loss of loved ones, challenging life situations, inner transformation, change of status, illness, divorce, or even on one's birthday.

During the ceremony, the process unfolds over five to eight hours.

The person shares their intention and desires, clarifying the deep request that lies beneath the surface.

The journey begins with a heart-opening Mother Cacao ceremony , followed by the creation of a mandala from flowers and herbs on a white cloth.

This mandala symbolizes the placenta, which is immersed in water, brewed and poured to the prepared bath, filled with flowers and aromatic oils. The brewing of a herbal bundle symbolizes the boiling process, necessary for transformation.

Next, a special massage is performed using the rebozo scarves, offering deep relaxation, releasing internal tension, and providing a sense of warmth and care.

A warm bath, filled with the decoction of flowers and herbs, becomes a sacred ceremony of washing and delving into the inner feminine nature.

Finally, the ceremony moves towards the central focus of swaddling.

This practice involves the closing and opening of the seven locks at specific points, symbolizing the closure of old chapters and the welcoming of new beginnings.

The benefits of swaddling are profound and encompass both psychological and physical aspects. It promotes relaxation, releases bodily and emotional tensions, and provides support and care.

Swaddling allows for psychological and bodily relaxation, relieving blocks from the past, and enabling you to move towards the future.

Swaddling is done with great care, attention, concern, acceptance, and warmth of heart on the part of the swaddlers.

It is such a beautiful and solemn transition from one state to another.

Several hours of stages/practices succeeding each other, all dedicated to you.

A very real sacred process with its own philosophy, depth, sequence and rituals, a real ceremony for the Soul.

It is important to understand one's intention, one's request - from where and where one is transitioning.

Everyone comes to the swaddling session with their own request.

If the initial request sounds purely mental, the preliminary conversation clarifies this request. Often it turns out that the real, deep request of the person ends up sounding completely different from what the original "from the mind" sounded like.

When the request is clearly voiced and the woman is ready, it becomes clear what practice can be offered to her for a deep transformation, after which she will no longer be the same.

The woman receives much attention, gentleness, care, acceptance, gratitude and admiration and this ceremony is completely about her. Everything that is so lacking for a woman in modern life.
